About The Position

The Head of Infrastructure Standards & Operational Management is a senior technology leader responsible for establishing the standards, governance, programs, asset discipline, and financial transparency that enable a scalable, resilient, and cost-effective global infrastructure environment. This role leads Infrastructure Standards and Architecture Practices, Forward Deployed Engineering, Program and Project Management, Asset and Lifecycle Management, and FinOps/Technology Economics. The leader will partner closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Technology Operations, Product and CTO organizations, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber, Finance, Procurement, and strategic suppliers to establish clear, scalable operating practices. Infrastructure standards will be managed as versioned products with named owners, reusable automation, measurable adoption, lifecycle management, and feedback loops. The role will establish and lead an Engineering Challenge Review for material architecture decisions, standards, and exceptions, ensuring documented authority, rationale, conditions, actions, accountable owners, and expiration dates. Each Forward Deployed Engineering engagement must have a defined owner, baseline, target outcome, acceptance criteria, knowledge-transfer plan, reusable deliverables, and a durable operational owner. The leader will also establish retirement discipline so that migrations are not considered complete until displaced infrastructure, software, support models, and associated costs have been retired or an explicit exception has been approved. This role will produce decision-ready evidence using governed definitions, accountable owners, reliable sources, baselines, targets, and regular review cadences, while maintaining clear accountability boundaries: Engineering owns platform and modernization outcomes; Technology Operations owns operational command and service assurance; Enterprise Architecture, Cyber, Finance, and Procurement retain their enterprise authorities; and critical internal controls remain internal, even when suppliers execute work.
