About The Position

Their AI agent, Pulse, allows customers to build and launch businesses within hours. Heartbeat's business model is a transaction fee on payments processed, aligning their revenue with customer revenue growth. The company has over 7,000 businesses on its platform, including creators, coaches, educators, solopreneurs, and enterprise organizations. They have achieved 7-figure revenue and are backed by prominent VCs. The immediate focus is on acquiring more customers and accelerating their revenue growth through focused ownership and budget discipline across existing channels like search ads, content, and an affiliate program.

Requirements

  • Revenue ownership: Must have been directly accountable for growth numbers.
  • Paid acquisition depth: Experience with Google/Meta ads, including budget ownership, creative briefing, and a strong point of view on ad effectiveness. Willingness to perform hands-on work within platforms.
  • High test velocity: Proven ability to ship 15-20+ experiments per month and a bias towards rapid testing over extensive data analysis.
  • SMB or B2C motion experience: Experience scaling a business selling to individuals or small businesses, understanding of CAC/LTV math for $50–$800/month price points.
  • Analytical self-sufficiency: Ability to pull data, build reports, and form hypotheses independently.
  • Creative instincts: Ability to write copy, brief creative, and have a strong opinion on creative direction.
  • Experienced with AI agents: Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily growth work, managing agents for usable output.
  • Based in NYC: Ability to meet in-person 2-3 times a week in Manhattan for the first 3-6 months.

  • Experience building or scaling an affiliate or partner program.
  • SEO or content background.
  • Experience helping a company achieve a significant growth step-change (e.g., $1M → $10M ARR).
  • Experience managing freelance contractors (writers, editors, designers).
  • Familiarity with the creator economy, coaching, or online education space.

Responsibilities

  • Own the primary growth channels and have full authority to expand into new ones.
  • Drive heavy iteration on paid ads.
  • Rapidly produce high-quality content for Above-the-Fold (AEO) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Manage and scale an affiliate program with over 1,000 partners.
  • Define strategy and direction for growth efforts, leveraging AI agents like Claude integrated with major growth systems (Hubspot, Webflow, PartnerStack, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Notion, etc.).
  • Manage paid acquisition channels, including search and video ads, with budget for testing and scaling creative.
  • Oversee content creation, including tutorials and guides for growing and scaling paid communities.
  • Engage with the customer community of 4,000+ builders through events and discussions.
  • Manage the partner program involving creators, consultants, and agencies.
  • Own lifecycle marketing, including emails, pop-ups, customer journeys, and education to drive customer growth across pricing tiers.
  • Manage relevant contractors.
  • Identify under-invested channels and shift focus accordingly.
  • Support CEO in hitting growth numbers, with access to technical, product, and design resources.
  • Utilize and manage an agentic system for generating ad copy, emails, managing affiliate campaigns, auditing ad campaigns, and tracing workflows.
