Head of Growth Marketing (Player-Coach)

Clinically AISan Diego, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Clinically AI is a rapidly scaling healthcare AI company building the next generation of clinical intelligence and workflow automation. We are operating at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and real-world clinical operations—helping providers dramatically reduce administrative burden and unlock more time for patient care. We are at a high-growth, early-stage inflection point (Series A–style environment): fast-moving, resource-conscious, and focused on building systems that scale. This is not a “maintain and optimize” marketing role—it is a foundational growth hire responsible for building the engine that drives awareness, demand, and revenue from the ground up. We are seeking a Head of Growth Marketing (Player-Coach) to own and build this engine in a hybrid role, working on-site in our San Diego office Monday through Thursday. This role sits at the center of our go-to-market motion and will directly influence pipeline, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. In this role, you will own the end-to-end growth marketing strategy and execution engine for Clinically AI, with a primary focus on pipeline generation, demand creation, and revenue impact. You will be responsible for translating company vision into a clear, prioritized, and measurable growth system that drives qualified opportunities across key channels. This is a high-growth environment where priorities evolve quickly, and success depends on your ability to create structure from ambiguity, align teams around what matters most, and build repeatable systems that scale. You will work closely with leadership and support an existing junior marketing resource, ensuring execution is aligned to a clear strategic direction and directly tied to business outcomes. This is a true player-coach role that requires both strategic ownership and hands-on execution. You will be expected to identify opportunities, build the strategy, and actively drive execution—especially in the early stages. This includes owning key initiatives such as event-driven marketing (a primary channel), partner and channel development, sales enablement, lifecycle marketing, and targeted demand generation campaigns. Over time, you will build and scale a team, but initially, success will depend on your ability to operate independently, move quickly, and deliver measurable results. This role is directly accountable for pipeline generation and revenue impact. Marketing at Clinically AI is defined by its ability to generate qualified opportunities, improve customer acquisition efficiency, and support sales through effective messaging and enablement. You will be expected to own a number, operate with urgency, and continuously optimize for measurable growth outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or GTM leadership roles in B2B SaaS or technology companies
  • Proven experience owning pipeline generation, revenue targets, or customer acquisition metrics
  • Hands-on experience executing demand generation strategies (not solely overseeing teams or agencies)
  • Experience building and scaling multi-channel growth systems, with emphasis on event-driven or partner-led marketing
  • Demonstrated experience owning positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for complex or technical products
  • Experience operating in early-stage or high-growth startup environments with rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of marketing systems, tools, and analytics, with the ability to translate data into action
  • Experience working directly with founders or executive leadership teams in high-accountability environments
  • AI-native operator. You actively use AI tools to design, execute, and optimize marketing systems (content, campaigns, analytics, automation, experimentation). AI should be embedded in how you work—not something you are “familiar with,” but something you operationalize.
