About The Position

Requirements

  • 7-12 years of progressive experience in finance, ideally high-growth AI or SaaS start ups
  • Prior experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking/PE/VC
  • 5+ years of Finance/Accounting experience, at least 2 years of Audit experience, with time spent in a leadership role
  • Strong command of SaaS metrics (ARR, retention, CAC/LTV, payback, gross margin, etc.)
  • Experience scaling a company through Series A → B → C and beyond
  • Hands-on operator: can manage books today, but also build systems for tomorrow
  • Strong financial modeling, board presentation, and communication skills
  • Collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Nice To Haves

  • CPA/CFA/MBA is a plus but not required or investment banking either PE/VC

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting, tax, audit, and compliance (currently using QuickBooks, Bill.com, Brex, etc.)
  • Implement scalable systems and processes for billing, collections, revenue recognition, and financial controls
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial statements and consolidated reporting
  • Continually review accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the company is compliant with GAAP and statutory accounting
  • Create, document and implement internal control process initiatives
  • Manage multi-jurisdiction tax strategy and compliance, including tax planning and reporting.
  • Build scalable forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to guide decision-making
  • Partner with GTM, and Product to align resource allocation with company priorities
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and unit economics to track business performance
  • Vendor negotiations on core tech systems
  • Partner with close functional peers on reporting and revenue dashboards
  • Partner with the CEO on capital strategy, future fundraising, and board management.
  • Build financial models and narratives to support investor conversations.
  • Own investor reporting, ensuring clear, consistent communication of metrics
