About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Head of Credit COO (CIB Business Management Director) in Corporate & Investment Banking as part of COO supporting Sales & Trading in Markets. This role provides executive-level operational leadership for the platform across Markets and CIB. Sales & Trading is a pivotal strategic leadership role driving the growth, modernization, and long-term expansion of the Credit Sales & Trading franchise within Global Markets. The position oversees operational excellence, financial discipline, strategic business management, and execution of new product and market expansion initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of corporate & investment banking business management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute forward-looking operational strategies aligned to Sales & Trading growth objectives
  • Partner with the Line of Business CFO to drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and analytics
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and regulatory risks across Credit trading activities
  • Support development and expansion of products including credit derivatives, financing solutions, and structured products
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure business performance and inform decision-making
  • Manage senior relationships with market data providers, vendors, brokers, and exchanges
  • Drive cross-functional coordination with Finance, Technology, Risk, Legal, and Operations
  • Oversee technology and workflow execution supporting trading and sales platforms
  • Engage with regulators and Internal Audit to ensure strong control environment
