About The Position

Userpilot is seeking a Head of Content to lead their content strategy end-to-end. This is a player-coach role where the individual will not only set the strategy but also personally write key thought leadership and founder-voice pieces. The role focuses on owning the content surface with a strong emphasis on organic growth, establishing editorial standards, connecting content to pipeline, and unifying organic and thought-leadership efforts. The Head of Content will be responsible for defining the narrative, producing flagship content, managing the organic engine (including SEO and AI discovery), building topical authority, creating bottom-funnel content, overseeing distribution, leading the content team, and establishing measurement frameworks. A practical understanding of AI's role in content workflows is also essential.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in content, with real time leading strategy and teams in B2B SaaS.
  • An exceptional writer first, with excellent editorial judgment and storytelling for a sophisticated, skeptical B2B audience.
  • A track record of content programs that moved something measurable: brand, demand, pipeline, or revenue.
  • The rare blend of editorial quality and commercial instinct.
  • Deep organic and SEO expertise, with a proven track record of building organic growth.
  • Strong grasp of content strategy across brand, distribution, and bottom-funnel conversion content.
  • Ability to develop and scale content talent, and to partner credibly with executives.
  • Analytical fluency: comfortable using data to prioritize and improve.
  • Practical, hands-on understanding of how AI changes content systems and workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in product-led growth, product adoption, onboarding, analytics, or related SaaS categories
  • Experience building thought leadership programs for founders or executives
  • Background in conversion-focused content strategy, technical SEO, or multi-channel campaign execution

Responsibilities

  • Define how Userpilot shows up in the market and how our ideas reach product and growth leaders.
  • Set the editorial standard and defend it.
  • Write cornerstone thought leadership and founder-voice pieces yourself.
  • Own organic growth as the compounding core of the strategy, including keyword and topic strategy, content velocity, internal linking and site structure, asset refreshes, and technical SEO health.
  • Own the shift in organic discovery from "rank on Google" to "get cited by AI answer engines" and build a point of view on how Userpilot wins in both.
  • Build genuine depth and authority around the topics our buyers care about (onboarding, product adoption, activation, retention, product analytics).
  • Create bottom-funnel and proof content, including comparison pages, alternatives, use-case content, and customer proof.
  • Develop and execute a strong content distribution strategy across newsletter, LinkedIn, repurposing, and syndication.
  • Lead, develop, and grow the content team, hiring as the function scales, and set a high bar for quality and ambition.
  • Build the framework that connects content to traffic, engagement, pipeline influence, and revenue.
  • Use AI and modern workflows to increase speed and scale while protecting depth, originality, and editorial quality.
