Head of Capital Product Operations & Systems

UrrlyNew York City, NY
Onsite

About The Position

Build the AI-enabled operating system behind two capital products already operating at institutional scale. This company connects homebuilders with institutional capital through construction lending and equity for single-family rental acquisition and asset management. The products and demand already exist. Now the business needs a hands-on operator-builder to transform complex capital work into repeatable systems that make every deal faster, clearer, and smarter than the last. You will report directly to the CEO and own the workflows, internal tools, automation, and operating discipline that move capital products from term sheet through closing, funding, draws, reporting, and capital-partner onboarding.

Requirements

  • You have personally led ambiguous, consequential, cross-functional programs involving real dependencies, decisions, risks, and measurable outcomes.
  • You have transformed a recurring, messy workflow into a durable system that other people adopted and could operate without you.
  • You currently use AI in your work and can demonstrate a practical solution you built with Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or a comparable coding agent.
  • You can operate safely within a software-delivery process.
  • You do not need to be an engineer, but you must understand Git, branches, pull requests, testing, review, deployment, iteration, and rollback.
  • You work effectively with incomplete information, limited resources, and no perfectly specified roadmap.
  • You can discover the real internal-customer problem, build the simplest useful solution, and influence adoption without relying on formal authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant paths include program management, product operations, business operations, implementation, solutions, transformation, chief-of-staff work, forward-deployed roles, internal tools, or capital operations.
  • Experience with Airtable, Notion, Retool, Zapier, Make, Jira, or similar platforms is valuable when you used them to design and implement an operating system—not simply administer a workspace.
  • Fintech, specialty lending, private credit, construction lending, structured finance, real-estate finance, capital markets, or another complex regulated environment is helpful but not required.
  • Capital expertise can be learned.
  • Project ownership, practical AI fluency, hands-on execution, and the ability to productize complex work must already be present.

Responsibilities

  • Build the operating system that moves capital products from intake and underwriting through closing, funding, draws, reporting, and ongoing execution.
  • Make ownership, handoffs, dependencies, risks, decisions, and deliverables visible across teams.
  • Turn fragmented intake, qualification, underwriting, approval, and reporting processes into repeatable workflows.
  • Standardize templates, data structures, approval paths, decision records, document flows, and capital-partner onboarding.
  • Build practical internal tools and automations using coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable technology.
  • Identify where AI can safely accelerate the work—and where institutional judgment and controls must remain human.
  • Partner with origination, underwriting, capital markets, finance, asset management, and executive leadership to ensure the systems are adopted and improve with use.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $160,000–$175,000 base salary annually
