Head of Business Development

EBAS Group•San Francisco, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

EBAS Group is partnering with a Y Combinator-backed AI agent platform for hospitality. Its AI agents automate guest communications for vacation rental managers and independent hotels. The company is hiring a Head of Business Development to build and lead its SDR team and own new pipeline. The sales motion is established: the full AE team beat quota last quarter, the top representative achieved 411% of goal, and deals close in an average of 32 days. The Head of Business Development will quickly hire a cohort of SDRs, including four planned hires by the end of Q4, and develop the team’s capacity model. The role begins with hands-on phone work across each customer segment, followed by teaching and refining the sales motion. The leader will establish structured rep ramping, call coaching, segment-specific playbooks, and pipeline reporting, while developing a path for SDRs to advance to AE roles. This position reports to the CEO and is based on-site in San Francisco’s Financial District, five days a week.

  • Experience hiring, coaching, and managing at least 4 SDRs through standups, one-on-ones, and pipeline reviews.
  • A track record of $6M or more in SDR-sourced pipeline.
  • Strong Salesforce skills, including the ability to build reports independently.
  • A player-coach approach: personally book meetings and give representatives clear, specific feedback.
  • High energy and ability to lead a young, hungry team in person.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
  • US work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to short-term rental managers, hotels, or hospitality technology companies.

Responsibilities

  • Hire an SDR cohort quickly, with four new hires planned by the end of Q4, and build the capacity model.
  • Spend the first weeks calling prospects in each segment and teach the sales motion from firsthand experience.
  • Ramp each representative with week-by-week quotas and product certification.
  • Coach representatives through weekly Gong call reviews, using one scorecard and one specific improvement for each rep.
  • Build separate playbooks for vacation rental managers and hotels, including talk tracks, sequences, objection handling, and qualification.
  • Own held meetings, AE acceptance, and SDR-sourced pipeline by segment in Salesforce.
  • Build the path to AE, including naming a team lead and promoting representatives who earn advancement.
