About The Position

The Cycle is a functional beverage brand focused on women's health, with four SKUs designed to support women through various life stages. The company is aiming to become the leading brand in women's health beverages, with an expanding retail presence and a rapidly growing community. This role is a senior individual contributor position, reporting directly to the founder. The Head of Brand & Marketing will be responsible for leading the brand strategy and marketing execution to drive the company's growth. This involves working with the founder, managing a small team of contractors and existing staff, and building a marketing engine to establish The Cycle as a well-known brand in women's health. The ideal candidate will thrive in the fast-paced environment of an early-stage CPG brand.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in brand and marketing roles at CPG companies.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience at the Director level or equivalent.
  • Direct experience scaling a CPG brand through national retail launch.
  • Hands-on operator mindset with experience in writing copy, briefing creative, managing PR, running paid media, and building ambassador programs.
  • Track record of working with limited resources and startup experience.
  • Excellent founder-collaborator instincts.
  • Strong writing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in functional health, wellness, supplement, or beverage categories.
  • Women's health experience is a major plus.
  • Experience building marketing from scratch and scaling on a tight budget.

Responsibilities

  • Own brand strategy and category narrative, including evolving the brand's voice, visual identity, and editorial point of view.
  • Lead retail go-to-market strategies, including demo strategy, in-store activation, retail-specific campaigns, and cross-channel support for new accounts.
  • Manage PR and earned media efforts, including external PR partners, founder-led press, and relationships with key media outlets.
  • Scale the Health Professional Ambassador Program by building partnerships with healthcare practitioners and establishing an operational framework.
  • Develop and execute a content strategy across social media, owned channels, podcast partnerships, and SEO to position The Cycle as an authoritative voice in women's health.
  • Build community programming through events, retail activations, and digital community infrastructure.
  • Manage the marketing budget and be accountable for key performance indicators such as trial rates, repeat purchase, unaided category recall, organic search volume, and ambassador roster growth.
