About The Position

We’re looking for a critical problem solver who’s eager to help our machine learning research team create outsized value for RBC. As a senior member of our Business Advisory team, you’ll be responsible for identifying high-impact data and artificial intelligence opportunities that will drive CEO-level priorities at RBC. You’ll engage senior executives in the bank to develop Data & AI strategy, mobilize teams to deliver market-leading solutions, and be the ongoing voice of the business to ensure our technical teams are laser-focused on value. At RBC Borealis, you’ll be joining a fast paced, dedicated, and passionate team that works directly with leading machine learning researchers, engineers and product management teams to deliver value back to RBC clients. Our mission is to think big and go beyond what’s possible today to deliver competitive AI solutions.

Requirements

• Have 10+ years of experience working in a fast-paced management consulting, financial services or technology focused organization
• Were responsible for the delivery of technology solutions that drove material business impact
• Have a working knowledge of data analytics and machine learning
• Have experience developing relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders at large enterprises
• Have experience developing business cases and other communications on technology projects
• Are a creative thinker who can develop long-term strategies as well as a stickler for detail on short-term commitments and deliverables
• Are excited to work with a machine learning research team on solving problems that cannot be solved with existing technology

Responsibilities

• Providing thought partnership to senior executives on their most pressing business problems and potential AI solutions to create outsized value
• Building and communicating strategic business plans, and collaborating with the RBC Borealis research and product teams to ensure alignment, feasibility, and success
• Mobilizing and providing business leadership to technical teams as they build and scale Data & AI solutions for the RBC
• Building relationships with subject matter experts and technical teams across RBC
• Representing the business vision within RBC Borealis and the broader enterprise technology community and educating researchers on business needs
• Understanding RBC Borealis research priorities and creatively mapping technologies onto business problems to identify new areas of opportunity to create impact
• Defining business requirements and collaborating with product and research teams to establish solution scopes, test technical feasibility, and resolve any business issues that arise during development.
