About The Position

Citi Wealth is seeking a dynamic and client-driven equity professional to lead the Americas Equity Advisory function within its Global Capital Markets organization. This role is the primary owner of the equity narrative for Citi Wealth in North America and Latin America — responsible for generating and communicating compelling equity strategy, thematic investment ideas, and actionable trade recommendations that inspire advisors and clients to engage and act. This is not a portfolio management role. The focus is on idea generation, thematic implementation, investment insights, and advising clients around their existing equity holdings. The successful candidate will build and grow their own book of active private banking clients through direct coverage while simultaneously serving as the key equity resource for Citi Wealth's internal advisor network. They will partner closely with Equity Research, the Chief Investment Office (CIO), and Equity Trading to ensure advisory views are grounded in rigorous analysis and executable in the market. The Direct to Desk component of this role means the candidate will engage directly with clients — providing real-time equity strategy, trade ideas, and implementation guidance in a high-touch, relationship-driven model.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in equity markets, equity research, or equity advisory roles within a financial institution, private bank, or wealth management platform.
  • Strong understanding of equity market dynamics, sector analysis, derivatives, and thematic investment frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth private wealth clients on equity strategy and implementation.
  • Proven ability to generate original investment ideas and communicate them compellingly to both clients and internal audiences.
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills — this role requires the ability to command a room, inspire action, and represent Citi Wealth's equity franchise at the highest level.
  • Series 7, 63, and 65 (or 66) licenses required (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe).
