About The Position

Penn State Berks invites applications for the opening of part-time Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach. Penn State Berks is an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the United East Conference. This role involves day-to-day operations, coaching and conditioning of athletes, practice and game preparation, and team travel. The Head Coach will develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting and retention program, perform organizational tasks as assigned by the Director of Athletics, and ensure compliance with NCAA and United East rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of the sport
• Ability to communicate well with team players
• Commitment to the academic and athletic success of the student-athlete
• Commitment to the highest of ethical standards
• A bachelor’s degree
• Previous playing and/or coaching experience
• Availability for practice and competition
• Valid driver’s license
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
• Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check

Nice To Haves

• Successful playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level
• Previous recruiting experience
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
