About The Position

The Head Custodian ensures an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. The position oversees and supports assigned custodians in performing their duties. Applicants must meet the stated education and experience qualifications and the physical requirements. Final appointment is contingent upon passing a job-related medical examination, drug screen and/or police background investigation, and providing documentary evidence of employment authorization and identity.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or possession of a GED.
• At least 2 years of professional cleaning experience in a public service institution.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to quickly move one or both hands, with or without the arms, to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time.
• Ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the United States at the time of application.
• Final appointment requires passing a job-related medical examination, drug screen and/or police background investigation, and providing documentary evidence of employment authorization and identity.
