About The Position

The State College Area School District is hiring a Head Coach for its 9th Grade Girls Basketball program. The coach provides leadership and guidance to student-athletes and assistant coaches and establishes an overall vision for the 9th Grade Program. The role involves instructing student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training, while also guiding and mentoring them to become driven and responsible student-athletes and citizens. The Head Coach reports to and works closely with the Varsity Head Coach to determine program goals and direction. Required safety and coaching training includes CPR/AED and First Aid, as specified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the PIAA; details are available on the Athletics website.

• Complete the safety and coaching training required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the PIAA, including CPR/AED and First Aid.
