9th Grade Girls Basketball, Assistant Coach
About The Position
The State College Area School District is hiring an Assistant Coach for its 9th Grade Girls Basketball program. The coach provides leadership and guidance to student-athletes and contributes to the overall vision for the 9th Grade Program. The role involves teaching fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training while guiding and mentoring student-athletes to become driven and responsible athletes and citizens. The Assistant Coach supports program goals and initiatives and reports to the High School and 9th Grade Head Coaches. The Pennsylvania Department of Education and PIAA require specific safety and coaching training, including CPR/AED and First Aid; applicants are directed to the Athletics website for details.
Requirements
- Complete safety and coaching training required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and PIAA, including CPR/AED and First Aid.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to student-athletes.

- Instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training.
