About The Position

Springfield School District seeks a Head Coach for JV Girls Basketball who is committed to the school’s mission and vision. Candidates are hired based on relevant experience and demonstrated responsibility and flexibility. The role involves coaching and motivating student-athletes while supporting their academic achievement, organizing and attending practices and contests, and working effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the public. The coach must maintain a high level of ethical behavior and be available for a flexible schedule that includes afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The coach will also carry out other sport- or coaching-related duties assigned by the athletic director.

Requirements

• Belief in the mission and vision of the school.
• Relevant experience and demonstrated responsibility and flexibility.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of basketball rules and strategies.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the public.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a coach.
• Experience as a player.
• Coaching certifications, preferably NFHS.
