About The Position
This posting is for the Harvest Room Labor position which hangs live birds in a shackle. It is scheduled for 2nd Shift. The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. The motion is repeated for the entire shift. The bird weighs 4 – 5 lbs. Team member needs to hang 25 birds per minute. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
