About The Position

This position pays $19.70/hr with a $1.00 shift increase for 2nd Shift. There is a stay-on bonus of $500 at 30 days, $500 at 90 days, and $1,000 at 180 days for the live hang position. The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. Hang rate varies by bird weight. All live hangers will rotate positions from front to back. The hangers will place any DOAs into DOA barrel at end of conveyor. Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. If you are offered a position that requires a background check you will be provided additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended.
