Hardware Engineer Intern, Vehicle Development [Summer 2027]

Zoox•Foster City, CA
•$6,500 - $8,500

About The Position

Zoox's internship program provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to real projects. Vehicle Engineering designs and integrates the physical Zoox robotaxi, a purpose-built vehicle. Interns contribute to the design, analysis, and validation of one vehicle subsystem and may be considered for teams in vehicle integration, geometric integration, powertrain, thermal and electrical systems, body, closures and chassis, robot industrial design, or robot platform development. The intern will design, model, and analyze components or subsystems using CAD and simulation tools; plan and run tests and analyze results to validate designs; investigate issues found during builds or testing and propose fixes; and document work and present it to the vehicle engineering team. This is a full-time, 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2027, requiring relocation to the Bay Area, California, for its duration.
