About The Position

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking motivated occupational (OT) and physical therapists (PT) passionate about hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. This role is for therapists with a solid foundation in hand therapy from clinical education, eager to grow with mentorship, advanced training, and hands-on practice. Therapists will set clear patient progress expectations, provide evidence-based, patient-centered care for conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. A high standard of clinical excellence and 5-star customer service is expected. A collaborative spirit is valued to ensure patients and team members receive the care and support they need. Requirements

  • Hold a license (or be license eligible) to practice Occupational or Physical Therapy in the State of New York
  • Completed a Level II fieldwork placement or outpatient rotation in hand therapy OR equivalent experience during clinical education
  • Masters or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree
  • License to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of New York

Responsibilities

  • Develop and progress individualized treatment plans including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, custom orthotic fabrication, and patient education
  • Empower patients with home programs and strategies that support their functional goals and recovery
  • Collaborate closely with referring physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure exceptional outcomes
