About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organization and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support teammates with seasonal resets and installations. You may occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores you service. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. You are responsible for the Hallmark product displays at your assigned stores and use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys. Professional interaction with store employees, management, and customers is important. Hallmark’s seasonal business brings additional days and extended hours before and after major holidays. Some holiday assignments may require working on the holiday itself, including weekends. Department reset assignments can involve installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections; remodel assignments are typically announced two weeks in advance and may occur in the evening or on weekends. Merchandisers may also support other team members in their territories. This physically demanding role includes work on sales floors and in back stockrooms. It requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of cartons, merchandise, and fixtures, along with standing, walking, kneeling, and squatting, and may involve stairs and step ladders. The position is based in Lewes, Delaware, and averages 11–15 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Starting pay is $16.50–$17.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.
