As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support other team members with seasonal resets and installations. The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores, with occasional work involving other companies’ products. The position has three main components: day-to-day merchandising, holiday support, and department resets. Daily work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks, communication, time reporting, feedback, and surveys. Seasonal periods may require additional days and extended hours, including work on certain holidays. Reset assignments may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating departments and products, and resetting card sections, sometimes during evenings or weekends. Merchandisers may also support colleagues in other territories. The schedule varies during the work week and averages 6–12 hours per week. Availability before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, and to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory work is required. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.
