About The Position

As a Merchandiser, you work independently to showcase organization and time-management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. On occasion, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

The role involves servicing Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. Work includes daily restocking and organizing products, monitoring inventory and displays, using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work activities and communications, supporting seasonal holiday demand, and participating in department installations and resets. Merchandisers may also support colleagues in other territories.

This is a part-time position averaging 4–7 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, and for season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability the week before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to access and interpret documents, report time, communicate with a supervisor, provide feedback, and complete surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Work with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
• Provide additional support around holidays, including additional workdays or extended hours; work on certain holidays may be required.
• Support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
