About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, optimize product placement, and maintain inventory. You may also support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations, and on occasion may work with other companies’ products in stores you service.

The role includes day-to-day service in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores; seasonal holiday support; department resets and installations; and collaboration with Hallmark’s field organization. Work involves using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks and communications. The schedule is variable during the work week, averaging 7–12 hours weekly, with additional days or extended hours around holidays and seasonal changeovers. Availability before and after major holidays, potentially including weekends, is required.

The work is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Employees must regularly handle merchandise and fixtures and may work evenings or weekends for some reset assignments. Hallmark provides paid training through hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside Hallmark departments at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to complete daily work, communicate with a supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys related to required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support increased seasonal demand before and after holidays, potentially working additional days and extended hours, and on some occasions the holiday itself.
• Participate in department resets and installations, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
