The Hallmark Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to maintain and present Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, and represent Hallmark. The role includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring inventory; maintaining the complete Hallmark product display; communicating and reporting work through a Hallmark-provided mobile device; and supporting seasonal resets, installations, and fellow merchandisers as needed. The position serves stores such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. On occasion, the merchandiser may work with other companies’ products in the stores served. This is a part-time position averaging 10–15 hours per week, with a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and seasonal changes. Work may include weekends, evenings, and, on some occasions, the holiday itself. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance. The work is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. The merchandiser must regularly move cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures, and may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders. The position requires access to consistent transportation for travel between assigned stores, as well as Wi-Fi and internet access. Starting pay is $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Part-time employees may have access to voluntary benefits, and eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
