About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you independently service Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. You work with local store teams to optimize product placement and inventory, maintain the Hallmark product displays at assigned stores, and may support other team members with seasonal resets and installations. The role involves using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for merchandising tasks, reporting time, communicating with a supervisor, providing feedback, and completing surveys. Occasional work with other companies’ products in serviced stores may be required.

The schedule varies during the work week and averages 9–10 hours per week. The role requires availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, and availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory work. Additional days and extended hours may be expected around holidays; working on the holiday itself may sometimes be required. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends.

The job is physically demanding and involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. Employees must frequently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The work also involves kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs and step ladders.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available for a variable weekday schedule averaging 9–10 hours per week, including availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned retail stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and required merchandising surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around holidays, including seasonal services and, when required, work on the holiday itself.
• Support installations and department resets, including building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments or products, and resetting card sections.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories as needed.
