About The Position
Thom Child & Family Services in Worcester, MA is seeking a Fee for Service Haitian Creole Interpreter to join their team. This role involves assisting Early Intervention Specialists by providing in-person verbal interpretation services for the pediatric population (children birth to 3 years) and their families.
Requirements
- Fluent in Haitian Creole/English.
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual in Haitian Creole/English required.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on responsiveness.
- Ability to interpret in the pursuit of service delivery.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to meet the required competency level in Microsoft Office Software.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide interpreting services for Early Intervention Specialists and families during home visit/community-based visits, center-based visits, group meetings and remote when necessary.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team approach to service provision.
- Maintain compliance with all Thom Child & Family Services policies and procedures/DPH regulations and requirements.
- Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
- Translate written materials such as parent letters, newsletters, and notes when necessary.
- Maintain proactive communication.
