About The Position

The Interpreter will facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak the same language by converting one spoken language to another. Interpreting services include but are not limited to Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services and other operational activities as assigned. This position is held to a strict code of confidentiality. The interpreter must be willing to work in all environments of the facility.

Requirements

Pass a written and verbal assessment with a 75%.
Fluency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, and English.
Ability to obtain a minimum of Level 3 Language Certification as prescribed in Tyson Foods software.
Strong verbal communication skills in dominant language and English.
Agree to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Ability to be a team member to coordinate and provide support as needed.
Strong organizational, decision making, and follow-up skills.
Basic computer and typing skills preferred.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent is preferred but not required.
One year of interpreter experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current Team Members already certified under Tyson interpreter program or other language certification acquired through an academic organization.
