Hair Stylist Intern

Great Clips•Fate, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

Join a locally owned Great Clips salon team and build real-world salon experience while still in school. The Hair Stylist Intern role is designed for cosmetology and barber students who want to learn about salon life, connect with a professional team, and prepare for a possible transition into a licensed stylist role after graduation. The opportunity is intended for students who are curious, motivated, and eager to grow their skills in a supportive salon environment. Internship experiences may include exposure to a professional salon environment, relationship-building with experienced stylists and salon leaders, hands-on learning about salon operations, customer service, and teamwork, and opportunities to observe and support haircutting and finishing techniques as allowed by state regulations. Interns may also gain experience with salon systems, tools, and technology, and learn about day-to-day salon expectations. A pathway to future opportunities as a licensed stylist may be available, but employment after graduation is not guaranteed. Program structure, scheduling, and responsibilities vary by location because internship programs are created and managed by individual Great Clips salon organizations. Internship programs are optional and offered only at select salons. Compensation, if offered, varies by salon organization and will be discussed during the interview process. Most interns observe, assist, and learn rather than perform full services. All Great Clips salons are independently owned and operated by third-party franchisees, who are responsible for hiring and personnel matters.
