American Girl Hair Salon Stylist (Licensed Cosmetologist/Seasonal)
About The Position
The Salon Stylist is located at the AG Retail Flagship Chicago location and reports directly to the Assistant Salon Manager. This position is responsible for delivering Girl Hair Salon services, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs. The role involves providing a high-level experience to customers by performing a broad range of hair styles for both girls and their dolls, working with various hair types and lengths. Responsibilities also include answering guest questions, providing general customer assistance, styling hair according to company standards, resolving customer issues, conducting inventory of salon supplies, stocking the area, cleaning and sanitizing the workspace, and communicating needs to management. Additionally, trained associates will perform ear piercing services, following a checklist, completing waivers, and reviewing aftercare procedures with guests.
Requirements
- Valid Cosmetology license for hair and nails in practicing state.
- Ability and experience to style hair in various styles and perform nail services.
- High energy, experience in a fast-paced service environment with a passion for quality.
- Must be willing to perform girl ear piercing services.
- Organizational skills, inventory management, and professional relationship skills are required.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Experience working with children preferred.
