About The Position
The Gynecologist Physician delivers comprehensive gynecological care to patients in an outpatient setting, including preventive services, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. The role supports women’s health through compassionate, high-quality medical care and patient education. The physician collaborates with clinical staff and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active New York State Medical License.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- DEA registration required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine and comprehensive gynecological examinations and evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic gynecologic conditions.
- Perform Pap smears, pelvic exams, breast exams, biopsies, and minor in-office procedures.
- Provide contraception counseling and family planning services.
- Manage menopausal care, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and reproductive health concerns.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, preventive care, and overall wellness.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation.
- Participate in quality assurance and compliance initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, HIPAA regulations, and clinical guidelines.
