About The Position
The Marblehead YMCA is looking for enthusiastic Gymnastics Instructors to bring energy, creativity, and fun to our gymnastics program! As a Gymnastics Instructor, you’ll create a fun, safe, and progressive learning experience for children of all ages. From parent–child classes that introduce little ones to movement, to playful preschool classes, and skill-building sessions for school-aged youth, you’ll help kids grow in confidence, coordination, and strength.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Teaching experience and a passion for working with kids
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team spirit
- Physical ability to demonstrate skills for various class levels.
- Strong communication skills and positive guidance techniques.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with children (teaching, coaching, or supervising).
- Background in gymnastics, cheer, dance, or similar movement disciplines.
- A passion for youth development and a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
- Lead age-appropriate classes that inspire a love for movement and skill development.
- Provide clear demonstrations and instruction tailored to each class level.
- Create a safe environment by supervising activities and maintaining equipment.
- Build positive relationships with children and families, supporting each child's growth.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and a welcoming, team-oriented atmosphere.
