About The Position

Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G500 Captain for an operation at KSNA airport in Santa Ana, California. The captain will safely operate the aircraft and conduct flights in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. The role requires a commitment to safety, service, integrity, and working effectively as part of a team.

The captain reviews aircraft maintenance status; performs a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual; checks weather and facilities along the route and at destination and alternate airports; ensures the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew; and accurately completes trip paperwork under current procedures. The captain must be available on an on-call basis and complete annual ICAO international procedures training.

Requirements

• 3,000 total flight hours.
• 1,500 hours PIC.
• 1,500 hours MEL.
• 500 hours MEL PIC.
• 500 hours in turbojet aircraft.
• 250 instrument hours.
• Type rated on a Gulfstream G500 or comparable aircraft.
• First-class medical required.
• Able to work on an on-call basis.
• Able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually.
• Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KSNA, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the Gulfstream G500 aircraft.
• Conduct flights safely and prudently in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Review the maintenance status of the aircraft.
• Conduct a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Check weather and facilities along the route and at airports to be used, including alternate airports.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and crew.
• Accurately complete trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
