About The Position

Jet Aviation is seeking a Captain for a Gulfstream 650 based in Burbank, California. The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned flights, leading the crew and delivering a high standard of safety, security, service, and professionalism. The role involves domestic and international travel, adapting to changing conditions, and representing Jet Aviation as a trusted Brand Ambassador. The Captain commands assigned flights and makes decisions to ensure compliance with federal, local, and company regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of aircraft systems, managing flight plans, carrying out applicable TSA flight-security functions, conducting or assigning passenger safety briefings, reporting hazards and aircraft discrepancies, and completing trip documentation and paperwork according to company procedures. The position requires a variable schedule to meet flight mission profiles and extensive worldwide travel without restrictions. Work takes place in settings ranging from heavy maintenance areas to upscale customer spaces, and includes exposure to aircraft noise, vibration, fuel fumes, changing weather, and seasonal temperature extremes. Physical tasks include regular use of hands, standing, walking, and sitting; occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching; and frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.

Requirements

Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
FAA First Class Medical.
3,500 hours of total fixed-wing flight time.
1,500 hours as Pilot in Command.
1,500 hours of multi-engine time.
500 hours of turbo-jet time.
500 hours of turbine time.
100 hours of night time.
75 hours of simulated instrument time.
Ability to work a variable schedule to meet flight mission profiles.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
High school diploma.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Command assigned flights and make decisions to ensure safety and compliance with federal, local, and company regulations.
Maintain a complete working knowledge of aircraft systems, operate with precision, manage flight plans, and adapt to changing conditions.
Perform the functions of the In TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) under the applicable Twelve Five Standard Security Program or Private Charter Standard Security Program.
Conduct required passenger safety briefings or assign that duty to the second in command.
Support open communication about safety issues, report hazards, and uphold a secure environment.
Record and report aircraft discrepancies as they occur.
Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, and complete accurate trip paperwork according to company procedures.
Lead a professional crew and deliver exceptional service to clients and colleagues.
