Gulf Cart Server
About The Position
Hilton Marco Island Resort and Spa is seeking a Gulf Cart and Pool Bartender to serve food and beverages to guests on the beach in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, with the goal of guest satisfaction. The position checks and maintains service stations, the Gulf Cart, satellite bar, and other assigned areas; greets guests, explains specials and promotions, takes and enters orders, and checks on guest satisfaction. It also presents and settles guest checks, balances payments, and maintains and prepares the Gulf Cart throughout the day and between shifts. The role may also perform supportive functions as assigned by the supervisor, based on the hotel’s requirements.
Responsibilities
- Check assigned service stations, Gulf Cart, satellite bar, and sections before, during, and after shifts for proper setup and cleanliness; keep service areas stocked and neat.
- Perform assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking side stands.
- Greet guests via Gulf Cart in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and drink or beverage promotions.
- Take guest orders, recite selections of call and premium brands when requested, and memorize available drinks.
- Record order details and repeat orders to guests to confirm accuracy.
- Enter orders into the point-of-sale system promptly so the bartender is informed.
- Maintain the setup and cleanliness of service stations and clean work areas and furniture.
- Replenish beverages as requested and check with guests about service and meal satisfaction.
- Present checks promptly and receive payments, including cash, credit cards, room charges, and travelers checks; make change, record charges, ensure vouchers are properly executed, and balance monies at the end of the shift.
- Prepare, maintain, clean, and park the Gulf Cart in the correct location, including preparation for the next day.
- Perform supportive functions as required by the supervisor based on hotel needs.
