About The Position
As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and may include assisting with customer service as needed. Teachers build trusting relationships with students and families through frequent communication about student goals and progress.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the applicant will teach.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Share student goals and progress frequently with students and/or parents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
