About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Music Teacher to teach guitar and keyboard lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. The teacher helps grow and retain student enrollment while supporting students’ musical development and enjoyment. The role emphasizes a Customer First mindset and contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The teacher partners with the store Lessons Lead, students, and families to provide a positive learning experience and build trusting relationships.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as guitar or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate each student’s progress and share student and parent goals and progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
