About The Position

The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Guest Services Supervisor to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the day to day operations of Guest Services and Bell Services to ensure they are in alignment with guest expectations and established performance standards.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the hotel at all times.
  • Promoting service excellence and enhancement opportunities to our guests.
  • Directly overseeing and supporting valet, bell, front desk and overall parking and transportation operations.
  • Resolving team member and guest inquiries and complaints.
  • Guest Service team auditing, record keeping, stat tracking and procedural monitoring.
  • Supply inventory tracking.
  • Coaching and training team members and completing daily Stay Experience and Guest Assistance responses.
  • Monitoring and responding to communications (emails, texts, phone calls and in person).
  • Assisting with VIP reservations full cycle: pre-arrival, arrival, during stay and departure.
  • Participating in internal and external meetings as determined by Guest Services Management (e.g., departmental meetings, operational pre-shifts, summit meetings, resume meetings, etc.).
