About The Position

The Guest Services Specialist provides an elevated customer experience to all JUUT guests in a retail salon environment. The role supports guests throughout their salon visit, from welcoming and check-in through appointment scheduling, service checkout, and follow-up. It also maintains shared salon areas and supports daily operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must work a minimum of one 3-hour shift per pay cycle to maintain active employment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, sit, and squat; grab, pull, and lift up to 10 pounds; and talk, hear, and see items at close or distant range.

Nice To Haves

• Some exposure to salon, cosmetics, hospitality, or retail business preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests appropriately, check them in, provide salon tours and welcome gifts to new guests, and offer available add-on services.
• Escort guests to the waiting area, hang coats when needed, and offer beverages.
• Make confirmation calls and offer add-on services during calls.
• Check out guests, process service and retail purchases, schedule follow-up appointments, and thank guests.
• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments with the appropriate artist or therapist based on guests’ hair, skin, and body care needs; offer add-ons and upsell appointments as appropriate.
• Capture guest data accurately and manage it with privacy and discretion.
• Learn about salon artists’ services, specialties, and experience levels to schedule appointments appropriately.
• Reschedule appointments and block artist time in the computer system as needed.
• Make outbound calls for service follow-up, event invitations, and other requested purposes.
• Stock and clean retail shelves as needed.
• Monitor, refill, and maintain the cleanliness of the beverage station.
• Keep salon magazines organized and accessible to guests.
• Ensure bathrooms are clean, tidy, and restocked.
• Attend to the waiting area, processing areas, and other shared public areas as needed.
• Handle cash accurately, including making bank deposits.
• Continually increase product knowledge to better assist guests.
• Maintain professional demeanor, communication, dress, and appearance in accordance with guidelines.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by salon leaders.
