About The Position

My Place Hotel is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Guest Services Representative to join their team. This role is central to delivering exceptional guest experiences, serving as the primary contact for guests from reservation to check-out. The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable multitasker with a positive attitude and strong knowledge of the local area.

Requirements

  • Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational & Multi-Tasking Abilities: Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and with organization.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure accuracy in financial transactions and guest records.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests warmly and professionally.
  • Efficiently handle check-ins and check-outs, manage reservations, and accurately record charges.
  • Provide information about the hotel, amenities, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, and churches.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints with professionalism.
  • Operate the phone system with proper etiquette, take and transfer calls, and record messages.
  • Manage guest wake-up calls.
  • Complete credit card authorizations and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Maintain organized records of daily activities, including the Night Audit Checklist, cash and call logs, and the Front Desk Log.
  • Report any issues related to the front desk, guest relations, or maintenance to the General Manager.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including inspecting the property and ensuring exterior lighting is functional.
  • Actively promote the Stay Rewarded Loyalty Program.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks, including laundry, common areas, stocking supplies, and making coffee.
  • Ensure entrances and sidewalks are free of snow and ice.
  • Deliver additional guest supplies as needed.
  • Issue and track master keys and key cards.
  • Assist with cleaning guest rooms when necessary, especially during peak times or staff shortages.
