About The Position

The intern program is designed to provide students with meaningful work experiences, on the job training, and ongoing personal development. This role involves assisting dealership focus teams on process improvement and customer/employee engagement projects, completing special projects as directed by the General Manager, preparing correspondence, reports, and other documents, and directing calls and customers to the appropriate department or person. The intern will also perform filing, operate office machines, maintain CSI at or above Company standards, and maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Participation in required training, accurate record-keeping of hours worked, and adherence to Safeguards rules and regulations are also expected. The position requires demonstrating the Company’s Core Values and compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as observing all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • A desire to learn the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic Computer skills in order to utilize the company timekeeping system.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • The position requires regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow management on general strategy of dealership
  • Assist dealership focus team on process improvement and customer/employee engagement projects.
