About The Position

This role is responsible for delivering clean, safe golf carts to guests and providing first-class customer service. The attendant will understand and respond to guest needs, greet guests, assist with golf bags, and maintain an orderly supply of golf carts. They will also be responsible for cleaning clubs, assisting guests with returning carts, and performing routine daily tasks such as collecting and cleaning range balls, storing, cleaning, and charging golf carts, and removing trash. The attendant will monitor the cleanliness, order, safety, and aesthetic quality of the property, participate in event setup and breakdown, and transport golf carts. They will advise supervisors of customer complaints, promote goods and services offered by the golf course, and engage in the daily cleaning and repairs/maintenance of the golf cart fleet, ensuring proper record-keeping. Additionally, the attendant will maintain the practice area, issue and retrieve rental clubs, clean rental and guest shoes, and change spikes. They will administer daily play policies as a Starter and Player Assistant, ensuring the Pace of Play program is followed, and assist Cart Mechanics as requested. The role requires promoting and complying with all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn, reporting suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions, maintaining clean and safe work areas, practicing safe work habits, and ensuring the safe work practices of all Golf staff. Attendance at mandatory meetings and cross-training are also expected.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minors attending high school must obtain work permit (Form B1-1).

Responsibilities

Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Greet all guests upon their arrival at their cars with a clean, safe and properly stocked golf cart, and to assist them with their golf bags.
Maintain, in appropriate areas, an ample and orderly supply of golf carts.
Approach all guests, at the end of their round, to clean their clubs and to assist them in returning their golf carts.
Follow all specified procedures to satisfactorily perform routine daily tasks, including collecting and cleaning range balls; storing, cleaning, and charging golf carts; removing trash from staging areas; and to open and close the bag room and golf cart storage area.
Monitor the cleanliness, order, safety, and aesthetic quality of the property, including all equipment, immediately reporting service needs.
Participate in the set up and breakdown of clubhouse of golf special events.
Transport, as needed, golf carts to and from the cart staging and storage areas.
Advise the supervisor of any customer complaints so they may be professionally resolved.
Be knowledgeable about all goods and services offered by the golf course and to actively promote them to our guests.
Engage in the daily cleaning and repairs/maintenance of the golf cart fleet, ensuring that all records are kept properly.
Maintain and be responsible for the practice area, keeping range balls picked up by using the range picker in a safe and appropriate manner and cleaning the range balls, as needed.
Issue and retrieve rental clubs for/from guests, and clean clubs after use, including verifying that all clubs are accounted for and stored properly.
Clean rental and guest’s shoes and change spikes when necessary.
Administer daily play policies both in the role of a Starter and a Player Assistant on the golf course, and ensure the Pace of Play program is being followed, as requested.
Assist Cart Mechanics, as requested.
Promote & comply with all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn.
Immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
Practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others, including the safe operation of all power-driven machinery.
Ensure safe work practices of all Golf staff, including compliance with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and the proper use and handling of all relevant equipment and machinery.
Attend all mandatory meetings, as directed.
Perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
