About The Position

Assists in supervising the Transportation Team, ensuring the smooth and efficient function of the department in providing valet, bell, and shuttle services to guests and employees. This role involves training and technical direction to Transportation Staff, including new employees, and working with the Transportation Manager to schedule staff to meet business needs. The position requires flexibility to cover shifts, switch shifts, and work overtime when necessary. The attendant is responsible for greeting guests, assisting with luggage, providing shuttle services, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and ensuring excellent customer service in compliance with 4-star standards and gaming regulations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience operating various passenger vehicles.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes contacts with employees and guests, preferably within a gaming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and organizing and prioritizing work.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and motivating staff.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Good driving record.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
  • Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Driver License with a good driving record.
  • Ability to perform general vehicle maintenance, including washing, vacuuming, and snow removal from exterior of vehicles.
  • Lifts up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in supervising the Transportation Team.
  • Ensures the overall smooth and efficient function of the department in providing valet, bell, and shuttle services to guests and employees.
  • Provides training and technical direction to Transportation Staff, including new employees.
  • Works with the Transportation Manager to schedule staff to meet business needs.
  • Greets arriving and departing guests, opens passenger door(s), and offers assistance.
  • Provides clear instruction to customers utilizing valet services on how to reclaim their vehicle.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the interior of each customer’s vehicle is maintained.
  • Retrieves and parks customer vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provides safe, friendly, and courteous shuttle services for casino guests and employees.
  • Ensures shuttle vehicles are clean at all times.
  • Performs general vehicle maintenance on shuttle vehicles.
  • Greets and informs customers of shuttle services, and thanks customers for their patronage.
  • Responds to questions from guests in a helpful, courteous, and pleasant manner.
  • Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities.
  • Exercises extreme caution at all times while operating shuttle vehicles, or while retrieving and parking customer vehicles.
  • Maintains awareness of circumstances at all times to evaluate the need for increased security or safety measures.
  • Keeps management informed of any concerns.
  • Escorts guests to their hotel rooms.
  • Explains the operation of room features such as locks, ventilation systems, and televisions.
  • Receives and marks baggage by completing and attaching claim checks.
  • Transfers luggage, trunks, and packages to and from rooms, loading areas, vehicles, and banquet storage rooms by hand or using baggage carts.
  • Arranges for shipments of baggage and mail by providing weighing and billing services.
  • Computes and completes charge slips for services rendered and maintains records.
  • Delivers messages, room service orders, and runs errands for guests.
  • Provides excellent customer service skills and upholds 4-star standards.
  • Answers guest questions regarding the resort and makes guests feel welcome and wanting to return.
  • Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag.
  • Must wear a gaming license if in possession of one.
  • Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects and assisting other departments, as needed.
