About The Position

The Guest Service Clerk provides fast, pleasant guest service by performing duties related to the front porch. The role includes greeting and assisting guests, bagging purchases, handling price checks, retrieving shopping carts, and maintaining cleanliness in front-end and other designated areas.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to retrieve and push shopping carts.
Ability to bend and lift to load customer orders into cars.
Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Communicate with each guest by greeting and thanking them, offering a choice of bag type, and following other courtesy guidelines.
Bag guests’ orders properly to prevent damage to purchases.
Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
Place purchases in the guest’s grocery cart or hand bags to the guest, and offer assistance to the guest’s vehicle.
Perform price checks.
Relay guest problems to a supervisor.
Retrieve carts from the parking lot.
Clean the front end, break room, rest rooms, lobby, parking lot, and other areas as needed.
Remove garbage and debris from carts and baskets.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
