About The Position

The Guest Service Clerk provides fast and pleasant guest service by performing duties related to the front porch. The role includes greeting and assisting guests, bagging purchases carefully, helping load orders into vehicles, performing price checks, retrieving shopping carts, and maintaining cleanliness in guest and employee areas.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to retrieve and push shopping carts.
Ability to bend and lift to load customer orders into cars.
Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Communicate with each guest by greeting and thanking them, offering a choice of bag type, and following other courtesy guidelines.
Bag guest orders properly to prevent purchases from being damaged.
Work well with co-workers and supervisors.
Place purchases in the guest’s grocery cart or hand bags to the guest, and sincerely offer assistance to the guest’s vehicle.
Perform price checks.
Relay guest problems to a supervisor.
Retrieve carts from the parking lot.
Clean the front end, break room, rest rooms, lobby, parking lot, and other areas.
Remove garbage and debris from carts and baskets.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
