About The Position

The Guest Service Clerk provides fast, pleasant guest service by performing duties related to the front porch. The role includes greeting and assisting guests, bagging purchases, offering help to guests with their vehicles, retrieving shopping carts, performing price checks, and maintaining cleanliness in front-end and other specified areas.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to retrieve and push in shopping carts.
• Ability to bend and lift to load customer orders into cars.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively communicate with every guest, including greeting and thanking them, offering a choice of bag type, and following other courtesy guidelines.
• Properly bag guests’ orders to help ensure purchases are not damaged.
• Work well with co-workers and supervisors.
• Place guests’ purchases in their grocery carts or hand bags to them, and sincerely offer assistance to their vehicles.
• Perform price checks.
• Relay guest problems to a supervisor.
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Clean the front end, break room, rest rooms, lobby, parking lot, and other areas.
• Clean garbage and debris from carts and baskets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
