About The Position

As a Guest Attendant, you will be a welcomed team member in a fast-paced environment, making a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. You will form a deep understanding of residents and their living experience, building relationships with them and their family members, offering support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. You will be a strong contributor to the home's culture, focusing on helping residents live fully every day.

Requirements

• Grade 12 minimum education required
• You have ‘Safe Serve’ designation and one year experience in dining room service
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities

• Support residents with their activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming as per residents individual plans of care
• Answering all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service
• Ensures that residents own personal grooming is appropriate and uniform/dress is clean, tidy and according to dress code
• Assist with transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required
• Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care
• Completing laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments
