About The Position

At Sienna, specifically Aspira Brants Landing, the Guest Attendant role is about building lasting relationships with residents and cultivating happiness in their daily lives. As a Guest Attendant, you will work in a fast-paced environment, forming a deep understanding of residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with residents and their family members, offering various support options and program choices to enrich their daily health and well-being. This role is a significant contributor to the home's culture, focusing on helping residents live fully every day.

Requirements

  • Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully
  • Detailed-oriented with strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
  • Grade 12 minimum education required
  • Have ‘Safe Serve’ designation
  • One year experience in dining room service
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
  • Successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities

  • Form a deep understanding of residents and their living experience
  • Build relationships with residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being
  • Contribute to the culture of the home, focusing on helping residents live fully, every day
  • Support residents with their activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming as per residents individual plans of care
  • Answer all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provide courteous service
  • Ensure that residents' personal grooming is appropriate and uniform/dress is clean, tidy and according to dress code
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required
  • Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care
  • Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments
