About The Position
Allied Universal is seeking a security officer to provide access control and patrol services in Puerto Rico. The role supports client safety and security across a range of industries and sites. Officers provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency-response procedures where applicable. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position is full-time, with rotating schedules and weekly itineraries. The listed pay rate is $10.50 per hour. Applicants must be available for credentialing processes and training.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old for unarmed roles.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
- Be available for rotating schedules and weekly itineraries.
- Be fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English; English is required for bilingual positions.
- Possess customer-service skills.
- Have a valid Puerto Rico driver's license.
- Be available for credentialing processes and training.
- Applicants are subject to background checks in accordance with applicable law and, where permitted by law, drug screening.
- Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and/or local laws, and a license may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service while carrying out security and safety procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency-response activities when applicable.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations and use problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
- Receive and direct employees and visitors in reception areas according to facility rules and assigned post orders.
