About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a bilingual security officer in Puerto Rico to provide security services in a factory setting and across varied industries, including retail stores, shopping centers, pharmaceutical sites, and corporate campuses. The role involves customer service, security and safety procedures, site-specific policies, emergency response when applicable, incident response, patrols, and reception-area processes for employees and visitors. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position is full-time with rotating schedules and weekly itineraries. Hourly pay is $11.50.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Be available for rotating schedules and weekly itineraries.
• Be fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English; English is required for bilingual positions.
• Pass a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to drug screening as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Have a valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
• Have a current armed license in Puerto Rico for armed positions.
• Be available for credentialing processes and training.
• Have customer-service skills.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security and safety procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency-response activities when applicable.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Receive and direct employees and visitors in reception areas according to facility rules and assigned post orders.
